Schoolbooks.ie was today (05 Dec 2021) announced as a finalist in the Digital Business Ireland National Digital Awards 2021 in the 'Education Website of the Year' category.
The whole team at Schoolbooks.ie is delighted with the announcement, and to have our work over the past year recognised by Digital Business Ireland and the Awards sponsors Permanent TSB.
Schoolbooks.ie is one of five shortlisted finalists in the 'Education Website of the Year' category sponsored by OpenOut. Congratulations to each of our fellow nominees.

"Digital Business Ireland, the voice of the digital commerce sector, and one of the country’s leading financial service providers permanent tsb, have today announced the finalists in the National Digital Awards 2021. With the second iteration launched in October, the Awards recognise the very best of digital in Ireland and reward businesses, organisations, people and innovations.
This year’s Awards encompass 20 categories including; Small Business Website of the Year, Digital Trailblazer, Social Media Campaign of the Year, Digital Advocate of the Year and Sustainable Business of the Year – among others. The much-coveted ‘Website of the Year’ Award, supported by title sponsor permanent tsb, will crown Ireland’s best website.
With 400 entries, an independent judging panel comprised of representatives from Ireland’s best-known brands was tasked with the unenviable challenge of selecting the finalists in each category. Following this process, today’s shortlisted finalists will now enter the final round of judging, where they will make a further submission to the panel. This final round will decide the winners and runners-up in each category – to be announced at the much-anticipated National Digital Awards night on February 3rd.. Veteran broadcaster Jonathan Healy will be the MC on the night, which promises to be a spectacular event.
There was no cost to make an initial submission to this year’s Awards series, due to the ongoing support of Digital Business Ireland’s partnership with permanent tsb and the generosity of the Awards’ category sponsors. Speaking today, Secretary General of Digital Business Ireland, Lorraine Higgins, said “This year, we received 400 entries to the National Digital Awards – a truly outstanding figure, and one which is testament to the extraordinary innovation being displayed by online businesses and entrepreneurs throughout the country. We were blown away by the caliber of submissions in the Website Awards and the quality of talent displayed by the entrants to the People and Innovation Awards”.
“Amid the extraordinary challenges of the last eighteen months, the business community has served as a powerful beacon of hope, staying relentless in its pursuit to reinvent and deliver solutions for customers to ensure consistency of service regardless of the prevailing public health conditions. As a result, the judges were faced with the unenviable challenge of selecting a group of finalists”.
“Of course, as with any Awards series, it is impossible to reward every entrant – and this year, that was particularly difficult given the exceptionally high standard of submissions.
