Orders

Can I add to my order?

Unfortunately we are unable to add items to orders already placed as they are automatically sent to our warehouse instantly for processing. If you require additional items, a new order will need to be placed with us.

Can I cancel my order?

If you have changed your mind or made a mistake in your order, as long as your parcel has yet to be processed, you'll have the option to cancel. Please contact our Customer Care team with your cancellation request and they will try their best to accommodate you.

Can I order in bulk?

Yes, if you are a school or an organisation and would like to place a bulk order with us then please contact our Customer Care team.

Where is my order?

Track My Order through My Account

Schoolbooks.ie is committed to processing your order, and delivering it to you, as quickly as possible - in line with the delivery option you chose when placing your order. This can range from 1 to 7 business days (for orders with delivery address in Ireland).

Once your order has been picked & packed by our warehouse, a tracking number shall be assigned to it. This shall be emailed to you at the email address you used when placing your order, with a link that shall allow you to track your parcel directly via our delivery partners' (DPD or An Post) website.

The status of your order, along with its tracking number, can also be found by logging into your Customer Account and selecting the order from your list of previous orders.

During extremely busy periods (August and early September for Schoolbooks.ie; and Black Friday and Christmas for our delivery partners), processing and delivery times may be at the upper end of the delivery time frame (up to 5 business days).

Can I get my order delivered outside of Ireland?

Yes, we deliver all over the world! You can select the required country at the checkout. Please contact our Customer Care Team if you have any issues with selecting your delivery address.

Schoolbooks.ie has fostered partnerships with a number of Ireland's leading delivery service providers, including DPD and An Post.

Tracked Courier Service

In most cases, our customers' orders are shipped via a tracked courier service so as -

  • to ensure you receive your order as quickly as possible;
  • you can track your order's progress as it wings its way to you; and
  • you are in full control of where and when it is delivered to you.

 

Once your order has been picked and packed in our warehouse and passed for shipment, you shall receive a confirmation email with shipping details.

We currently offer the following shipping options -

€3.99 - Small orders <1kg - Standard delivery (tracked) (3-5 business days)

€4.99 - Standard delivery (tracked) (3-5 business days)

€7.99 - Express delivery by DPD Courier (tracked) (2-3 business days)

€9.99 - Priority picking with Express delivery by DPD Courier (tracked) (1-2 business days)

Returns and Refunds

How can I return an item?

Changed your mind? Purchased the wrong item? No problem!

If for any reason you are unhappy with a product, or your order, then you can return it to us provided it is in 100% resalable condition.

Schoolbooks.ie has a simple Returns Made Easy process to help make returning an item and getting refunded easy.

Products & Stock

How do I add a product to my shopping cart?

To add a product to your shopping cart, simply click the "Add to Cart" button located under each product. This will automatically add the product to your shopping cart.

How can I find a product?

In order to find a particular book or product, simply type in the title, subject, class, keyword, ISBN, author, etc into the Search Bar located at the top centre of each page.

The search engine will return some results. You can also browse through our collections via the links listed in the menu bar, and by utilising the filters on the left of each collection page.

How can I see what's in my shopping cart?

You can view the contents of your shopping cart at any time by clicking on the "Cart" icon located at the top right of each page.

How do I remove an item from my cart?

If you have added a product to your shopping cart and no longer wish to purchase it, simply access your shopping cart by clicking the "Cart" icon at the top right of each page, and then click the "Remove" link next to the item you do not wish to purchase. This will automatically remove this product from your shopping cart.

When will an item be restocked?

If an item is out of stock, you can request that we notify you when it is back in stock. Please add your email address to the 'Notify Me' box within the product, you will be notified as soon as the product returns to stock.

Do you sell Gift Cards?

Yes, we do sell Gift Cards!  We currently offer values ranging from €10 to €1,000.

Simply add the Gift Card value of your choice to your cart. When checking out, choose whether you or the person you are buying the Gift Card for want to receive it.

The Gift Card will be issued digitally by email with a unique code to use on our website.

How can I use a Gift Card?

You can use your ‘Gift Card’ by entering the Gift Card's unique code into the "Add a discount code or Gift Card" box and clicking ‘Apply’ at the checkout to make your purchase.

If a product has variants which one shall I receive?

Unfortunately, with certain products with variants, it is not possible to choose a specific colour / style when purchasing. This shall be randomly selected by our staff.

We endeavour to highlight this in the description of any such products.

Do you supply teachers with free copies of books?

Unfortunately, we are not in a position to supply teachers with free copies of books.

My Account

Create Account

Any visitor to the Schoolbooks.ie website can register and Create an Account.  This is a simple process and typically takes 1-2 minutes to complete.

 

Also, when placing an order, during the Checkout process, customers have the option to save their details and Create an Account

Do I need to be registered to buy?

No, you do not need to create an account or be logged in or registered to make a purchase on the Schoolbooks.ie website.

However, we do recommend that customers Create an Account with us, as from there you shall be able to review the orders which you have placed (since 15 June 2017), and find tracking details of orders shipped.

(NOTE: Orders placed prior to 15 Jun 2017 shall not be listed in your account)

Book Covering

How do I request to have my books covered?

There are two ways that you can request to have your books covered -

1. View your shopping cart by clicking on the "Cart" icon at the top right of each page. From the cart page, click the "YES. Please cover my books" button to request to have your books covered; or

2. Visit the "School Book Cover" page and click the "Cover My Books" button to request to have your books covered.

 

The number of covers required is dynamically calculated based on the books in your order.

Please note:  By default only books, workbooks, novels, dictionaries, exam papers and revision guides are covered. Copies are not covered. Where a book consists of a "pack" or "set", the system will automatically include the appropriate number of covers for the elements in the pack (e.g. textbook & workbook sets).

Why am I being charged for more book covers than there are books in my cart?

The reason you have been charged for more book covers than the quantity of books you can see in your order, is that there are certain books in your order that are part of a set/pack. Books that are a set/pack have extra books that shall also be covered.

Please note:  By default only books, workbooks, novels, dictionaries, exam papers and revision guides are covered. Copies are not covered. Where a book consists of a "pack" or "set", the system will automatically include the appropriate number of covers for the elements in the pack (e.g. textbook & workbook sets).
