Welcome to Well-Being - Book C - First Class - Feeling Good with Mo & Ko - Pupil Book - New/Revised Edition
The Welcome to Well-Being whole-school programme is designed to enhance children’s well-being across all dimensions – social, emotional, spiritual, physical and mental. Enhancing children’s well-being can lead to a wide variety of other successful outcomes, including improved academic performance, stronger relationships, and greater resilience. (Waters, 2011; Park & Peterson, 2008).
The theme of the Welcome to Well-Being programme is that two little aliens called Mo and Ko arrive from the planet Zo to help children to feel happy, strong, kind and brave, loving and well. Each week they introduce children to a new idea and they set a challenge for the children to try it out for a week – at home as well as at school. By default, the characters Mo & Ko are gender-neutral – but a gender-specific edition is also available (for gender-specific versions, please order HERE).
Each level includes a Teacher Guide that provides 10 structured lessons with clear teaching guidance and engaging classroom activities. Accompanying the Teacher Guide is a comprehensive Digital Companion Page (DCP) containing PowerPoints for every lesson, videos, posters, additional classroom resources and more. The accompanying but separate Pupil Activity Book allows children to record their reflections and develop a personal portfolio of their strengths, while a parental pull-out guide explains each week’s learning and encourages home–school connection.
