Fónaic le Fís is our innovative Irish phonics programme designed to go beyond sound recognition, empowering young learners not only to grasp Irish phonetics but also master reading and blending skills for a comprehensive language experience.

A systematic programme covering:

• Phonological awareness
• Phonemic awareness
• Phonics, and reading skills.

Contents:

•  Revises and consolidates the 37 spelling patterns taught in Fónaic le Fís A and B. 
•  Develops a deeper understanding of broad and slender consonants. 
•  Provides explicit instruction in lenited consonants (bh, ch, dh, fh etc.). 
•  Teaches new spelling patterns associated with the long vowels (ái, éa, iú, ói etc.). 
•  Includes a wide range of decodable texts to strengthen reading fluency and accuracy. 
•  Provides structured encoding opportunities to develop spelling and writing skills. 
•  Introduces simple grammar lessons to consolidate understanding of lenited consonants.
