- This book deals with these Case Studies separately from the rest of the Topic 

 ■  Each Case Study starts with an essay which places it in its context 

 ■  This is followed by a detailed account of the events of the Case Study 

 ■  Finally there is a brief summary of subsequent developments influenced by the events of the Case Study 

- To help students become used to reading documents, each Case Study is accompanied by relevant documents and questions relating to these documents 

- For each Case Study there are four exam-type document questions so that students can become familiar with the way in which documents are treated in the Leaving Certificate History examination
