Yuri's Irish Grammar - Part 2

Yuri’s Irish Grammar Cards consist of two parts. (If you are an Irish student studying for your exams, both cards are suitable for Junior Cert and Leaving Certificate).

The second card of the Irish series contains over 20 grammar charts displaying the noun declensions, adjectives and prepositional pronouns.

The charts are displayed in a set of colours to help you easily identify the word you need.

The Irish spelling changes are shown throughout the cards, with the colour green for aspiration, (séimhiú) and with the colour orange for eclipsis (urú).

The colours yellow, purple and green display the different persons or pronouns: mé, tú, sé, sí muid, sibh and said. So, when you see these colours in any of the charts, you will know which person it corresponds to.

The tables are independent from each other, so you can focus on the chart related to the topic that you are studying in class.

• Examples of masculine and feminine nouns with their declension
• Examples of the 3 cases (nominative, vocative and genitive)
• Comparatives and superlatives
• Common adjectives

The cards are a quick and handy reference guide to keep by your side when in class or for independent studying. They are great for exam studying, for reference and for practising.

They are convenient because they don’t contain all the explanations that you have already been given by your teacher or that are included in your book. They contain only the important structures that you need to put into practice.

Yuri’s Study Cards contain all the grammar you will need when studying Irish as a second language. If you have your textbook, your workbook, your dictionary and your grammar card, you will be all set for your Irish lessons!
