This book is designed to support 1st and 2nd Class children in their efforts to write independently. It is part of the Sunny Street English language programme.

• Space to add words of interest to themselves, thereby compiling personal dictionaries.
• Banks of words on familiar themes, together with attractive illustrations.
• Suggestions for ways to begin and end a story.
• A page entitled 'Sticky Spellings', which they can use for quick reference and to write words that they often use but find difficult to spell
• A section entitled 'Have a go', where they can attempt to spell a word on a 'rough page' before adding it to the relevant word list.
