General Competition Terms and Conditions
The following General Competition Terms and Conditions ("Competition Terms") apply to all competitions run by Schoolbooks.ie (either run via this Schoolbooks.ie website, email, our Facebook page, other social media channels, elsewhere or otherwise). Additional Terms and Conditions ("Additional Competition Terms") may also apply to specific competitions, and in such cases shall be clearly outlined.
1. All competitions are run by Schoolbooks.ie (the "Promoter"). Throughout these terms and conditions, the terms “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Schoolbooks.ie. Schoolbooks.ie runs its competitions for you, the entrant, conditioned upon your acceptance of all terms, conditions, policies and notices stated here.
2. By entering a competition run by Schoolbooks.ie, you engage in our “Service” and agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions (“Competition Terms”).
3. Please read these Competition Terms carefully before entering our competition(s). By entering our competition(s), you agree to be bound by these Competition Terms. If you do not agree to all the Competition Terms, then you may not enter the competition(s).
4. All Schoolbooks.ie run competitions are open to residents of the island of Ireland, aged 18 years and over, except employees of the Promoter, their families and/or anyone professionally involved or associated with the competition.
5. Multiple entries per person are allowed.
6. Entry to multiple competitions is allowed.
7. No purchase is required, unless otherwise stated.
8. Competition winners may be asked to participate in publicity photos, but participation shall not be mandatory.
9. Competition winners shall be announced via the Schoolbooks.ie website, Facebook page, via email, or a combination of these.
10. Competition winners shall be notified directly by email, direct message ("DM") on Facebook, letter, and/or telephone within 48 hours of the announcement.
11. If the winner cannot be contacted or does not claim the prize within 14 days of notification, we reserve the right to withdraw the prize from the winner and pick a replacement winner.
12. The Promoter reserves the right to withdraw or amend a competition for any reason whatsoever.
13. The Promoter and their agents accept no responsibility for difficulties experienced in submitting an entry to a competition nor for any direct or indirect loss suffered by any individual arising from this competition or any involvement therewith.
14. All competitions and these terms and conditions are governed by Irish law and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish Courts.
15. The Promoter’s decision in respect of all matters to do with the competitions it runs will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
16. No cash alternative shall be offered.
Day Trip To Dublin Zoo For Your Child And Their Class Competition - Additional Competition Terms and Conditions
The following Additional Competition Terms and Conditions ("Additional Competition Terms") apply specifically to the Day Trip To Dublin Zoo For Your Child And Their Class competition running between 01 May 2019 and 07 Oct 2019.
DZ.1. A purchase is required to enter this competition. However, there is no minimum, or maximum spend stipulated.
DZ.2. All Schoolbooks.ie customers who place their order between the dates of the 01st of May and the 30th of September will be automatically entered into the competition.
DZ.3. Multiple entries (linked to multiple purchases) are permitted.
DZ.4. Schoolbooks.ie has one (1) prize on offer - the prize consists of one (1) group ticket [up to thirty (30) pupils and three (3) teachers] to Dublin Zoo, in Dublin Ireland.
DZ.5. In the first week of October 2019 (to be confirmed), the Promoter shall select one (1) winner at random from all orders placed on Schoolbooks.ie from the 01st of May 2019 until the 30th of September 2019.
DZ.6. The Promoter shall not be providing transportation for the winners to or from Dublin Zoo, nor shall the Promoter be covering the cost of same.
DZ.7. The Promoter shall not be providing accommodation for the winners as part of the prize, nor shall the Promoter be covering the cost of same.
DZ.8. The Promoter shall not be providing any other entertainment on the day of the trip.
DZ.9. Prize winners will be required to book their ticket prior to attendance through the Discovery and Learning Centre on 01-4748932 or education@dublinzoo.ie .
DZ.10. The prize cannot be exchanged for material or monetary goods.
Ed Sheeran Competition - Additional Competition Terms and Conditions
The following Additional Competition Terms and Conditions ("Additional Competition Terms") apply specifically to the Ed Sheeran competition running between 01 Jun 2017 and 30 Apr 2018.
ES.1. A purchase is required to enter this competition. However, there is no minimum or maximum spend stipulated.
ES.2. The competition will run between 00:00hrs GMT on Thurs, 01 Jun 2017 and 12:00hrs GMT on Mon, 30 Apr 2018.
ES.3. All Schoolbooks.ie customers who place an order between the dates mentioned in ES.2 will be automatically entered into the competition.
ES.4. Multiple entries (linked to multiple purchases) are permitted.
ES.5. Schoolbooks.ie has ten (10) prizes on offer - each prize consists of one (1) pair of tickets (i.e. 2 tickets) to see Ed Sheeran in concert in Dublin (Phoenix Park, Fri, 18 May 2018) or Cork (Pairc Ui Chaoimh, Fri, 04 May 2018), Ireland.
ES.6. Each Friday between 04 Aug 2017 and 15 Sep 2017, the Promoter shall select one (1) weekly winner at random from all orders placed on Schoolbooks.ie since 01 Jun 2017. On Mon, 30 Apr 2018, the Promoter shall select three (3) further winners at random from all orders placed on Schoolbooks.ie since 01 Jun 2017. Each winner will win one (1) pair of tickets, providing they have adhered to the criteria outlined in the Competition Terms and these Additional Competition Terms. The Promoter’s decision in relation to this selection and all other matters is final.
ES.7. While the Promoter shall endeavour to allocate tickets to each winner's preferred date and venue, the first choice shall be given to the initial weeks' winners until a given date and venue is fully subscribed to. After this point, winners will be allocated tickets to the other available date and venue. The Promoter’s decision in relation to this allocation is final.
ES.8. The Promoter shall not be providing transportation for the winners to or from the concert venue, nor shall the Promoter be covering the cost of same.
ES.9. The Promoter shall not be providing accommodation for the winners as part of the prize, nor shall the Promoter be covering the cost of same.
ES.10. The Promoter shall not be providing any other entertainment on the day / night of the concert(s).
ES.11. Prize winners will be required to enter the concert venue alongside a representative of the Promoter.
ES.12. Schoolbooks.ie does not guarantee that a prize winner and their guest will gain access to the concert venue. Normal concert going conditions, as stated by the concert promoters (Aiken Promotions / Ticketmaster) and their agents / security / Gardai shall apply, and are beyond the control of Schoolbooks.ie.
Facebook Competition (Jul 2017) - Additional Competition Terms and Conditions
The following Additional Competition Terms and Conditions ("Additional Competition Terms") apply specifically to the Facebook competition running between 17-30 Jul 2017.
FB.1. No purchase is required to enter this competition.
FB.2. The competition will run between 00:00hrs GMT on Mon, 17 Jul 2017 and 23:59hrs GMT on Sun, 30 Jul 2017.
FB.3. Winners shall be announced on Fri, 04 Aug 2017
FB.4 Schoolbooks.ie has three (3) prizes on offer - 1st Prize is a €300 Schoolbooks.ie voucher + a €100 One4all voucher; 2nd Prize is a €200 Schoolbooks.ie voucher + a €100 One4all voucher; and 3rd Prize is a €100 Schoolbooks.ie voucher + a €100 One4all voucher.
FB.5 Entry is via Schoolbooks.ie's Facebook page only.
FB.6 To enter, entrants are required to "like the competition post, share and tag two friends".
FB.7 The Promoter shall select three (3) winners at random from all valid entries received.
